Jean Bock Kalb

Rosary will be at 6:00 P.M. Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Bratcher Funeral Home, 401 W. Woodard St., Denison, TX 75020 conducted by Deacon Gary Vogel. Visitation will follow until 8:00 P.M.

Funeral Service will be held at Fairvew Cemetery Chapel, 1501 Hwy. 91 N, Denison, TX 75020 at 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 16, 2012 with Bill Bock officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Jean was born August 3, 1929 in Denison, Texas, the daughter of Elmo Bock and Frances Canafax. She married Dickie Kalb in Sherman, Texas on October 18, 1985 and he preceded her in death in February 2007. She was of the Catholic faith; attended Denison High School, stayed home to raise her children, then proceeded to accomplish a career as a professional tailor and dry cleaner. Her nurturing nature made her friend, mother and granny to the many lives she touched.

She is survived by son Stephen Anderson & wife Val of Sherman, Texas; daughters Pat Rich of Austin, Texas, Janet Anderson of Denison; brothers Bill Bock & wife Lorraine of Denison, Jimmy Bock & wife Lafreta of Sherman; sisters Lake Bearden of Denison, Mary Peek & husband Buddy of Tom Ball, Texas; grandchildren Lisa Flynn, Michelle Flores, Justin Anderson, Rachel Anderson, Keith Anderson, Weston Heffington, Natalie Dominguez; great-grandchildren Meagan Flynn, Kaitlyn Flynn & Daniel Flores.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Dickie; sons Michael & Kenneth Anderson; grandsons Mark Zepeda & Tommy Anderson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38015.
