Jewel Eulena Shalhope Rowley

Graveside service will be conducted by Rev. Sam Garrett at the Oakridge Cemetery, 7 miles east of Denison on Main Street at 2:00 P.M., Monday, May 23, 2011. There will be no family visitation.

Jewel was born in Stroud, Oklahoma, March 25, 1935 to parents Arthur and Bessie Shalhope. Jewel married Billy Rowley in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on December 28, 1953. She was a longtime resident of Denison, where she was a member of Oakridge Baptist Church for many years. Jewel was employed with the Madonna Hospital and retired from Texoma Medical Center after 20 years. She was a faithful Christian with her church and family.

Survivors include her husband Billy Rowley of Denison; sons Kent Rowley & wife Tracey of Denison, David Rowley & wife Ruth of Denison, brother Joe Bill Shalhope & wife Sharon of Stroud, OK; grandchildren Amanda Knippling, Bradley Frazier, Emily Rowley and Jesse Rowley.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family request memorials to the Oakridge Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.
