She was a wonderful person with talents in many things. She worked in Dallas as a Telephone Operator for South Western Bell as well as TI when she moved to Denison. She was a homemaker, one of the first Cub Scout leaders and active in Blue Birds and Campfire Girls.
Her house was home to the neighborhood kids who referred to her as “Momma Holt” or Granny. She was a seamstress; her and her husband ran Guys and Dolls where she was known for her great hamburgers. If you were hungry or needed a place to stay no one was turned down.
She loved life, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly and they loved their Granny or G-Baby dearly. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family but they know she is with her David dancing in the clouds of Heaven.
She is survived by her son James Holt and wife Rita of Denison; daughters Rebecca Holt and husband David of Denison, Lisa Kemp and husband Shawn of Vernon, Texas; brother Roy Lee Lloyd and wife Rondi of Hartsville, South Carolina; sisters; Vivian Steen of Bokchito, Oklahoma, Vira Thomas of Borger, Texas; grandchildren Jamie Holt and husband Brad, Courtney Holt and husband B.J., Heather Kemp and husband Scott, Wesley Shields and wife Sissy, Derek Shields, Chris Shields and wife Shelly, David B. Holt, Jackie Kemp and wife Tiffany and Forest Holt, thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
