Jay was born Thursday, February 14, 1952 in Denison to Jimmie D. & Betty V. (Jones) Cherry. Jay was an Eagle Scout and a pilot in his earlier days. He graduated from Southeastern State University and went to work at Texas Instruments and later for Ratheon.
Family visitation will be 6:00 to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Bratcher Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Fairview Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Roy Spore, Waples United Methodist Church officiating.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Mack Cherry.
He is survived by brother Ben Cherry of Moore, OK; nieces, Beth Chandler, Katelin Cherry; nephew Travis Cherry all of Moore, OK; nephew Mark Cherry & wife Keisha of Denison; and special friend Rosemary Walsh of Howe.
