Visitation will be Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from 6:00 – 7:30 P.M. at Bratcher Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Lamesa Memorial Park in Lamesa, Texas with Truman Hayes officiating.

JoAnn was born Thursday, August 1, 1935 in Lamesa, Texas to Hugh C. and Margie DeVore Hanes. She attended and graduated from Lamesa High School in 1953. She went to work for GTE in 1953 and retired after 38 years. She loved to travel and be around her nieces and nephews.

JoAnn is survived by 3 brothers: Gerald Hanes and wife Gerry of DeQuincy, Louisiana, Bobby Hanes of Dallas, Texas, Troy D. Hanes and wife Joanella of Denison, Texas; nephews Allan Hanes, Steven Hanes and wife Julie, Jeff Hanes; nieces: Karen Fisher, Tonda Bailey and husband Tommy; 4 great nieces and nephews and one great-great niece.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Ray Allan Hanes and 2 nieces.
