Robert Haas

Robert was born in Erie, Pennsylvania January 22. 1919. He was the son of Carl and Thora Haas. He worked for GE Locomotive until he joined the United States Navy. He served from June 1944 until March 1946.

He worked for Cincinnati Milicron as a sales engineer and regional manager, then retired to Fort Myers, Florida and then to Atlanta, Georgia. In 2008, following the death of his wife Eleanor after 66 years, he moved to Sherman where he resided at the Renaissance.

His wife of five months, Lila Lafayette, his sons David and wife Nancy; Douglas and wife Anna Leigh; Gary and wife Linda survive him. Grandchildren: Kathy Spadoni and Len; Kristen Kromer and Kyle; Erica Copeland and Brad; and Baleigh Haas. Great grandchildren: Kirin Kromer, Robert Preston Kromer; Zachary Spadoni, Matthew Spadoni; and Oliver Copeland.

There will be no services at this time.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grayson Home Hospice, 505 Center St., Sherman, Texas 75090 or to Sherman First United Methodist Church, Care Team, 401 N. Elm St., Sherman, Texas 75090.

Cremation was entrusted to Bratcher Funeral Home, 401 W. Woodard St., Denison, Texas 75020.
