

Ann Burton, 78, of Aurora, CO, passed away on the afternoon of Friday, September 20, 2013. Always the most devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Ann is survived by her loving husband of almost 48 years, Charles; daughter, Rebecca; sons, Robert and Tim; and grandchildren, Nic, Emily and Michelle. She will always be loved and cherished.
Ann was born in Greenwich, CT, attended the University of Connecticut and graduated in 1957 with a degree in nursing. She worked as a nurse in Prescott, AZ on both the Navajo Reservation and at the VA Hospital. In 1960, Ann transferred to the VA Hospital in Denver, CO and met the love of her life, Charles. When Ann and Charles started their family, she retired from the VA to be a full time mother. As the children got to be of school age, Ann went to work for the Cherry Creek School District as a teachers aide and an administrative assistant until she retired in 1999.
Ann loved to visit and keep in touch with family and friends who she always held dear to her heart.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, September 25 at 12 PM at Smoky Hill United Methodist Church at 19491 E. Smoky Hill Rd in Centennial. Visitation will begin at the church, the same day at 11 AM. Burial will follow a reception at the church at Olinger Hampden Cemetery at 8600 E. Hampden Ave in Denver.
