

Barbara "Barbie" Olive Claxton, 72, passed away peacefully at her home in Castle Rock, Colorado on June 22, 2024. She was born on April 16, 1952, in Kent, New York to Charles Frederick Reis and Scharley Levine (Mathews) Reis. Barbara was deeply loved and cherished by her family and friends.
Barbara was married to her beloved husband, Charles Claxton, who retired from the Air Force. Together, they shared a life filled with love and joy. Barbara's warm heart and kind spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.
She is survived by her devoted husband Charles, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, nieces, nephews, and numerous other family members and friends. Barbara's presence in their lives brought happiness and warmth that will be deeply missed.
A memorial service to celebrate Barbara's life will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024 at Olinger Hampden Mortuary, 8600 E. Hampden Ave., Denver, CO 80231 at 12:00 PM. The family invites you to a reception following services at the home of Dan & Cindy Reis, 11551 E. 1st Ave., Aurora, CO 80010. All who knew Barbara are welcome to join in honoring her memory and sharing stories of her life. Barbara will be laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado in a private ceremony.
Barbara Olive Claxton leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories. Her laughter and wisdom will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
