

Betty Lou Barnes, born on May 8, 1931, in Long Creek, Oregon, passed away on December 22, 2025, at the age of 94. She resided in Denver, Colorado, at the time of her passing. Her final resting place will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
Betty was a generous, loving, compassionate, and kind-hearted individual. She spent her early life in Long Creek and John Day, Oregon. On December 12, 1952, she married Richard L. Barnes in Lapwai, Idaho, with whom she shared a remarkable 73 years of marriage.
Betty was an amazing mother, raising her children while her husband served in the US Air Force, moving the family across the country, finally retiring in Denver, Colorado.
She is survived by her husband, Richard L. Barnes; her children, Linda (Dave) Barnes, Susan (Lewis) Babcock, Debbie (Craig) Steiner, Ronald Barnes, Richard (Lois) Barnes, Carla Barnes;

Her great-grandchildren, Justin (Jocelyn) Riggs, Ryan (Kayla) Riggs, Dylan (Halle) Riggs, Declan Lesner, Colter Lesner, Reese Jones, Regan Jones, Brooklyn McMahon, Camden McMahon, Shaidyn McMahon, Jason Hill, Azariia Clark, Zamiah Roquemore, Abigail Gessner, Kyle Browning-Gillum, Matthew Mason, Taylor Mason, Aspen Bray, Dyani Bouch;

She is preceded in death by her parents, David and Hazel Browning; her sisters, Muriel Panky and Janet McCoy; her son, Michael James Browning; her great grandson Brandon Mason.
She is deeply loved and will be missed by all. Service details are pending at this time. Burial will be at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
