

Danny Charles Myers, 65 died Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Via Christi St. Francis, Wichita, Kansas. He was born on July 12, 1958, in Lexington, Nebraska, the son of Charles Myers and Marlene (Oelkers) Welliver. He lived in Dodge City for the last 10 years, moving from Garden City. He spent his childhood in Nebraska. Dan enjoyed hunting with his son and grandsons and spending time with his family. He especially loved to attend all the grandchildren's sporting events. Dan was a very hardworking man. He was a master pipefitter and rigger for most of his career. He was well known throughout the industry for being one of the best. Everywhere he worked and went, he was always a great leader for his men. They always looked up to him and respected him. He would often say, "I will never ask any of my men to do something I wouldn't do." On August 13, 1977, he married Julie Marie Luckie in Lexington, Nebraska at the Lutheran Church. She survives. Survivors also include: a son, Kye Myers and wife Genevive, Dodge City; a daughter, Sara Myers, Dodge City; a sister, Jodi Welliver, York, Nebraska; 3 brothers, Toby Welliver, Austin, Texas, Tim Myers and wife DeAnne, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Dudley Myers and wife Linda, Phoenix, Arizona; 9 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial service will be on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 10:00 am at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City with Jason Goetz officiating. Inurnment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City. There will be no public viewing as cremation has taken place. The family suggests memorials to the Dan C.
