

Dau Du of Aurora, CO was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Dau was born August 14,1936 in Shantou, Guangdong, China. At the age of 12, she left China to find work in Vietnam and in 1979, became a refugee in the United States following the Vietnam War. Shortly after her arrival in Colorado, she started her career as a custodian for Aurora Public Schools.
Dau’s home was a place of warmth, her cooking a source of comfort, and her presence a reminder of the strength that comes from love and perseverance. Her life stands as a testament to enduring hope, selfless sacrifice, and the powerful legacy one woman can leave behind.
Dau was endlessly devoted to her Buddhist faith and family, and adhered to her faith with daily prayers. She prayed to see her family succeed in life and for everyone to understand or forgive one another.
She instilled in her grandchildren her wishes for them to seek education and to grow as people so they can be aided in their pursuit of happiness, prosperity, and wealth.
She is preceded in death by her husband Binh Y. Tran. She is survived by her 6 children Samenda, Anh, Kevin, Michael, Trinh, Lele and their spouses, 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and lovingly honored by the generations she inspired.
A visitation will be held at Olinger Hampden Mortuary & Cemetery, located at 8600 East Hampden Ave, Denver, CO 80231, United States. The service is scheduled for December 4, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am.
Buddhist chanting ceremony will begin at 10:30 am.
