Just a note to let you know my heart is with all of you at this time.  I was grateful I was able to join in Aunt Esther’s memorial service on -line since I couldn’t be with you in person, it was very nice.    As you know I have experienced this many times over.  Losing  a loved one is difficult but we rejoice in knowing they are in the presence of our Lord experiencing all He has prepared for us. Growing up our family times were very special. I have many fond memories of all the family celebrating our holidays together.  As life went on and God led me  and Duane into the ministry of Grace Ranch both Aunt Esther and Uncle Joe’s constant love, encouragement, total support— was a tremendous blessing.  We will miss her here with us but look forward to being together again when God calls us to join our loved ones with Him in our eternal home. Esther's kind soul and giving spirit touched so many and will never be forgotten. She was a godly example in my life and I'm thankful for the influence she had  upon my younger years as a new mother. I will cherish the memories of our sweet conversations that we used to have whenever we had ladies bible study. May the Love of God enfold you as you honor her life, prayers and blessings from our family to yours!

My grandma Esther….,, she was the best person I have ever known! What an amazing woman! She was my role model, I wanted to be more like her. Thank you grandma for being our prayer warrior and all the beautiful memories, we had, especially growing up.  I was so blessed to have you as my grandma! Can’t wait to see you again! I love you!

Aunt Esther will always hold a special place in my heart.  I remember as a child going over to the “Joe Jivan” house for Thanksgiving celebrations.  It was a rowdy group with all the families gathered.  Kids running around, the football game playing on the tv with the guys yelling, and the women bustling in the kitchen.  Aunt Esther handled it all with joy, and apparent stress-free concern.  But what I remember and cherish is that amongst all of it, were the moments she would take and talk to me as an individual and share a smile.  As I grew up, got married, and had children, the moments we took through the years to connect and to share, were genuine and appreciated.  When she answered my phone call, it was a cheery, “hello Karen”.  She knew my phone number and always had time to talk. We would catch up on the happenings in each other's life, and at times I would try to get her to share some fun fact about herself which was more entertaining to hear her describe than the fact itself.  She had a serious side which always was to share about the Lord and what he meant to her.   Her joy, smile, and laughter lingered with me until the next time we chatted. She would always end our conversation with “Karen, I love you.  Thank you for calling.”  I will miss our time to connect in person, but know she is joyfully rejoicing with Jesus where she longed to be, and I will someday join her and we will pick up where we left off.  “Aunt Esther, thank you, I love you.”

Thank you “Mom” for being my adopted Mother (mother-in-law) all these years! When I was 10 years of age, my birth mother left all six of her children and never came back. I being the oldest helped raise my brothers and sisters. When I married Carol, Esther’s daughter, I was blessed with a godly mother that showed me how a truly loving mother could be for all these 50+ years! Have a rested and blessed time in heaven as one day I will see you again.

Grandma we just love you so much!  Thank you for always being an amazing example of Jesus to us all. You not only talked to us about God’s love but you modeled His patience, kindness, and generosity. We can’t wait to see you again when we are reunited with Grandpa, you, and our Lord.  Until then we will share the love you gave us!❤️❤️

Esther Jivan became my mother-in-law almost seven years ago. From the day I met her she treated me as a loved member of the family, even telling me her son would be a fool if he didn’t marry me. I loved her hugs, treasured her prayers, enjoyed her company immensely. She was a lady. Our prayer warrior, a loving mother. Mom you will be missed. Enjoy heaven, you deserve it. 

Our sympathy for your loss of your mom. We know it's hard to lose a mom, even if their passing is bittersweet due to health and advanced years.  She is with her Savior rejoicing... the Lord's blessing be with you all as you cherish her memory.
