

George attended Yale University from 1951 - 1955, graduating Magna Cum Laude as an English Major. He graduated from John Hopkins Medical School in 1960 in Baltimore, Maryland with AOA, a medical student honors program that only accepted those in the top 10% of their class and Phi Beta Kapa. From 1960-1965, George did his general surgical residency at Roosevelt Hospital in New York City, New York, where he was the chief resident his final year. George continued his residence, this time at New York Hospital, Cornell University from 1965-1967 in Plastic Surgery. He also garnered the position of chief resident.
In 1967, George was stationed in the Army at Fitz Simons Army Hospital in Aurora, Colorado as the Assistant Director of Plastic Surgery. Following his time at Fitz Simons he chose to go into partnership with a plastic surgery group in Denver with Dr.'s Felix Garcia, John Gill, and William Vigor. His primary locations of surgery were Presbyterian St. Lukes, Swedish Medical Center, Lutheran Hospital, and Craig Rehabilitation Hospital.
George is preceded in death by his first wife, Lynn and brother, Henry F. "Hank" Lacy, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Margaret and his children, Rick Lacy, Phil Boe and Marilyn Boe.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 11am at Wellshire Presbyterian Church in Denver. George will be laid to rest at Olinger Hampden Memorial Gardens also in Denver following the service at church. Guests are welcome to join the family following the conclusion on the committal service at Olinger Hampden Mortuary for a reception.
George had a long career as a highly trained, wonderfully talented plastic surgeon and he will be greatly missed.
