Upon retirement with a rank of Major from the Air Force in 1971, Howard settled with his family in Aurora, Colorado. He purchased Dutch Boy Donuts in Denver, serving up Colorado’s finest donuts to loyal customers for over 20 years.
Howard and Dottie enjoyed creating lasting memories while traveling to many places around the globe. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on February 21, 2009.
