

Paul Jason Salazar, age 37, passed away in Westminster, CO on Tuesday, March 15, 2016. Jason is preceded in death by his Mother, Laura Jo Elrod, his Grand Parents, Frank Elrod and Paul and Sally Salazar, and his Uncle, Rich Elrod. Jason is survived by his Son, Christopher Salazar, of Harrisburg , PA, his Father, Paul Salazar, of Westminster, CO, Step-Mother, Betty Casanova of Center, CO, Step- Father, Mike Elmer of Denver, CO, Grandmother, Doris Elrod, of Lone Tree, CO, Brothers, Robert (Naomi) Salazar of Lakewood, CO and Stephen (Lorena) Salazar of Westminster, CO. He was an Uncle to Janeya, Damon, Phoenix and Adilyn Salazar. The family also acknowledges Christopher Salazar-Mangrum, who is his cousin and one of his closest friends; Aunts and Uncles including Larry and Barb Elrod, Terry Elrod, Sandra Jones, and Michael and Valerie Mangrum. The family also acknowledges beloved numerous other family members and many, many friends. Jason graduated from East High School in 1996, played baseball and helped the Angels win a 1996 State Championship Basketball Title. Jason was also the 1996 recipient of the Dick Connor A.C.E Award. He went on to play college basketball at Whittier College in California where he obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. A marketing manager by trait, Jason loved his work in the sporting market, enjoyed traveling, skiing and was an avid golfer. Jason cherished the time he spent with family and friends and had a positive impact on all who loved him dearly. A memorial service to celebrate Jason's life is scheduled for Saturday, March 26, 2016, beginning at 11:00 A.M. at Olinger Moore Howard Chapel located at 4345 West 46th Avenue in Denver, CO. A reception dinner will follow the ceremony. All family and friends are welcomed.
