Joey, you and I had some crazy times together.  When I think of how much fun we used to have, I can't help but smile.  Miss you always

Joe, I think of all of Al's family, you became family to me the fastest. 11 years I knew you and I have seen many changes in the man you were, some good, some bad. But there were so many constants as well. Your loyalty was unwavering, your honest to God friendship couldn't be shaken, the ability to rely on you for anything was always there. I will never forget our Redwings vs. Avalanche banter or the first time you saw me in an Avalanche shirt. You had this look on your face as though you knew you had won. Mostly Joe, I will just miss seeing you at family events and knowing I'd always have company when I was feeling stressed. I can't thank you enough, and I hope you know I love you like a brother.

Everyone raise one up for a true brother, husband, son and confidant... Joseph Rodney Blackman a.k.a. O.E. by some of his biggest fans. Your humor, kindness, and loyalty will be truly missed and the burden will only be lightened by the wonderful memories you filled all of our minds and souls with. Joey- I'm at a total loss for words.  You were adored and loved by many and will always be missed and never forgotten. You brought out a side of my sister Shannon that I hadn't seen in a long time. I honestly can say I have never seen her happier. You gave me the Brother In Law I had always wanted if even only for a short time.
