John A. Martinez

John Adolfo Martinez, 88, of Lit'L Patch of Heaven, passed away March 17, 2014. He was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico on September 27th, 1925. He was married to Sabina C. Martinez on October 25, 1953. John, a proud Navy veteran, worked in the Department of the Army, at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal. He had a passion for watching the Broncos, socializing with family and friends, and was an avid newspaper reader.

John is survived by children Yvonne A. Martinez Garner, Yolanda A. (Kenneth M.) DeHerrera, Elizabeth M. (Daniel J). Garcia. Grandchildren Nereyda L. Perez, Armando A. (Dalia) Garcia, Angela Y. Martinez Garner, Melanie S. DeHerrera, Olivia I. DeHerrera, Adam J. DeHerrera, David D. (Luci)Garcia, Thomas A. Garcia. Great Grandchildren Joe J. Perez Jr. , David C. Perez, Michael Garcia, Eric Garcia, Eli Garcia, Gabriel Garcia, Isaiah Garcia. Sibling Nat (Elaine) Martinez and various nieces and nephews

John is now reunited with his wife Sabina C. Martinez, parents Annie Bierbaum and Natividad Martinez, and sister Lucy Maestas.

John was a kind and generous man. He was loving, humorous and sociable. He was a man of the Catholic Faith and very family oriented. He will be missed dearly by all.
