

Lucille Victoria (Casados) Escobedo passed away quietly at her home in Surprise, Arizona on September 27, 2011. She was 89 years old. Lucille was born on September 15, 1922 in Trinidad, Colorado, and spent most of her adult life in Denver, Colorado. She moved to the Valley to live with her daughter and grandson in 2005. She attended St. Clements of Rome Catholic Church and was a member of the Surprise Senior Center. Lucille was a devoted wife and mother and will forever be remembered by her loving children Ernest Ortega and Alberta Apolius, grandchildren Stephen, Regina, Nicole, Denita and Michelle, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. She is also survived by her brother Albert Casados and wife Shirley, and many nieces and nephews. Her family along with countless other friends were blessed to know her. Lucille touched the lives of everyone she met with her smile and generosity and maintained her good spirits and sense of humor until the very end. Friends and family are invited to pay their last respects on Wednesday, September 5th, 2011 at a Visitation from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm and a Rosary from 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm both at The Olinger Moore Howard Funeral Chapel, 4345 West 46th Ave. (Tennyson St.), Denver, Colorado. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 4200 Federal Blvd. Denver, Colorado on Thursday, October 6th, 2011 at 10:00 am.
She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Raymond Escobedo at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
