

Margaret Jean (Wurzbacher) Rossow, was born on March 18, 1930, in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She is the 4th of 5 children born to Frank and Pearl Wurzbacher. Margaret worked as a waitress (carhop) at Doc’s Shack drive-in near her home in East Grand Forks, MN in 1944 & 1945. She quit high school early and worked at the S&L Department store in Grand Forks from 1947 to 1953, where she was manager of the lady’s ready-to-wear department. She married Jack Rossow on 7/6/1952. Margaret and Jack had 2 boys, Bob, and Steve. When the boys were older, she worked in BARBERIOS Cheese Shop in the South Forks Mall and later worked for 18 years in the deli department of HUGOs grocery store in Grand Forks. Margaret always enjoyed playing cards, games, painting, and decorating her home. Margaret moved to the Good Samaritan senior apartments in E. Grand Forks, MN in February 2019. The Rossow family home at 1109 Cottonwood St. was sold in June of 2019. Members of the Rossow family had lived there continuously since 1926 (93 years). In November of 2021 Margaret moved to the Garden Plaza Senior Living apartments in Aurora, Colorado to be near her son, Bob.
She passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, at the age of 95 at Heath ONE Hospital Aurora.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Frank Jr. and William, and two sisters, Lois and Virgil. Her husband Jack passed away in 1999.
Margaret is survived by her two sons, Bob (Margaret) Rossow & Steve (Iva) Rossow and 4 grandchildren, Laura, Sarah, Jon, and Jeff, as well as five great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at South Fulton Street Church of Christ, located in Denver, Colorado, on February 28, 2026, starting at 11:00 am. A reception will follow also at South Fulton Street Church of Christ.
