Matt was a very caring, loving , warm hearted man. The greates man I have ever known. I loved him deeply with all of my heart and soul, his memory will live with me forever.To his family I am sorry for your loss. He touch my heart and many others.

I met Matt when I was 16 years old and we became friends immediately. As time went by the friendship grew into one of the best I have ever had. We spent the last 16 years riding bikes, hiking, fishing, camping, going to concerts and many other things friends do. The last time we spent a day together Matt, Bob and I took the canoe up to Gross Reservoir for a day of paddling and fishing. It was a sunny day, the water was calm, fish were caught and beer was drank. Never would have known that day would be the last day, but I can tell you that it would be real hard to have a better day. Matt you will be missed here, we will have to wait to see you on the other side.  Best wishes to Ken, Debbie and Matt's family, who have always been kind to me. I am so sorry for your loss.

Gone but never forgotten, we all had some really good times together. I'll never forget the help you offered me as a friend. I will also remember how you included me at Thanksgiving and anytime I needed a place to go. You were a good man and I'll miss you my friend. This candle burns in honor of your memory. ❤ My condolences to all of Matt's family and friends.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know that losing a loved one is not easy, but our faith in God's promises can help us get through difficult times like this. I hope you will find comfort in God's promise at John 11:24-25. Knowing that there is a future for those we have lost in death can be very reassuring! -

Matt and I were born less than a month apart and became friends when we were six years old. We spent as much time as we could together as kids, riding our bikes, playing Nintendo, watching movies, swimming, camping, getting in trouble, and fighting with each other, like any friends who end up being more like brothers. Our friendship continued as we reached middle and high school and we continued to get into a lot of the same predicaments, sometimes together, other times trading stories over the phone after the fact, when one or both of us were grounded for our missteps. Matt was still like a brother to me for the past decade, although we sometimes didn't see each other for longer periods, we had no trouble going right back to laughing at ourselves and the world together when we saw each other again. We lived in the same apartment building for over a year after I got married and were able to hang out whenever we had time. Matt was a groomsman at my wedding and he met my son for the first time at his wedding. I never imagined that the story of our friendship and Matt's life would come so suddenly two short years later, as I stood with Matt's family gathered around him and we wept our goodbyes while Matt's soul left his body behind. It hurt and hurts now as nothing has before, my friend, and I will miss you for the rest of my life. May God, who is forever loving and merciful, keep you in eternal peace.
