

Rachel Lillian Quinion Patcigo, beloved wife of George Patcigo, passed away June 19, 2013. She was born February 16, 1926, in Bristol, Connecticut, to Walter and Edna Quinion. She was preceded in death by her older siblings, Leonard Quinion and Lorena Lyons. She is survived by her husband of almost 59 years, George Patcigo; their four children, Andrew, Charles, Mary, and Susan; eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Rachel received her Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science from Geneseo State in New York. She worked as an elementary school librarian in Schenectady, New York, before relocating with her family to Denver, Colorado, in 1978. She enjoyed cooking, reading, gardening, travelling with her husband, sharing her knowledge of wildflowers and birds, and taking care of the family pets. Rachel’s extensive volunteer work in her community included CenturyLink Pioneers of America, MS Society, Election Day polls, Schenectady Light Opera and various Church functions. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends who knew and loved her very much. A Memorial Service and Reception will be held Tuesday, July 02, 2013, at 10:00 AM at the Thornton Presbyterian Church, 9200 Hoffman Way. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the charity of your choice in her name.
