Robert Michael Mason (Bobby Maso), was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 19th, 1979. He grew up the oldest in a family of four siblings. He helped to raise them at a young age. One thing for sure, his heart was so big, and he cared so much about family. He enjoyed life through music, dancing, cooking, and spending time with his loved ones. He has a love for life, that was written all over his spirit. His energy was so big, he was the life of the party everywhere he went; always dancing, talking, and laughing. He connected easily and well with others, bonding over belly laughs and genuine conversation. He especially connected with children and animals. He really knew how to make overs feel safe and loved.
He moved to Denver, CO as a teenager where he attended Smoky Hill High School. He then became an installer for Creative Interior, where he spent 20 years doing what he loved, creating lifelong friendships, and becoming an independent contractor. Along the way he met his soulmate Venessa and his beautiful daughters, Ashley and Alyssa, who became the loves of his life. They created a wonderful life together, a beautiful home, accompanied by their tree amazing fuff babies: Cicero, Buddha, and Bear. Robert was a genuine person who accepted others no matter their past, with no judgement. He loved with his whole heart, unconditionally and fiercely. He blessed everyone who crossed his path with his one of a kind presence. Everyone who knew him, loved him. He passed peacefully on December 4th, 2021 with his immediate family beside him. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert (Bob) Mason. He is survived by his wife Venessa Colletti-Broker Mason, his daughters Ashley Dale and Alyssa Erb, son Aaron, mother and step father Bridgette and Brian Criss, and grandmother Martha (Marti) Arnold, as well as siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
