

Robert Clayton Robinson, Sr. (“Bob”) passed away on November 25, 2025, at the age of 87, in Thornton, Colorado. He was born in Denver, Colorado on January 26, 1938, to Verna and Dennis Armstrong, and later adopted by Verna’s second husband, Edmond Robinson. He had one sister, Edra Robinson.
Upon high school graduation, he joined the U.S. Air Force, serving in Roswell, New Mexico. There he met his wife, Reda, and they were married in February 1961. He worked many years as a truck dispatcher and dock foreman at ICX in Denver, as well as B.F. Walker. He ended his working career at the Veterans Home in the housekeeping department and often declared that he was “proud to serve his boys.”
He was a well-regarded member of the Greenleaf Masonic Lodge #169 and the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association Sons and Daughters (at age 3, Bob was at Hickam Field, Hawaii, during the bombing of Pearl Harbor). He was also a long-standing member of Christ United Methodist Church in Denver. Friends and staff at Bonaventure Assisted Living facility in Thornton, where he lived for the last 7 years, reported that they enjoyed his sense of humor.
He is survived by his daughter Rachel Williams (Michael Weissmann); and grandchildren Liz Loos (Nick), Diane Williams, Britany Robinson (Tim Madsen), and Christian Robinson (Monica); as well as ten great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, his sister Edra, his wife Reda, his son Clay, and his grandson Robert.
Funeral services will be held December 16, 2025, at Olinger Hampden Mortuary & Cemetery, 8600 E. Hampden Ave., Denver, CO 80231. Viewing is 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, services at Noon, and internment at 1:15 pm. A celebration of life will be held on December 30, 2025, at 10:00 am, at Christ United Methodist Church, 8th Ave. at Colorado Blvd, Denver, CO 80206.
