Rosa Gutierrez-Ornelas

Rosa Gutierrez-Ornales passed away at her home in Commerce City, CO on May 22, 2016 at the age of 70. She is preceded in death by her parents, and a brother. She is survived by her husband, Manuel; 8 children, 19 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 11 siblings, as well as host of other family members and friends.

Rosa loved to make tortillas for her family (she had the best), and to crochet. Her favorite season was Spring, as she always had a beautiful garden come Springtime. She had a happy disposition and was described by her family as being a strong individual. She was a warrior when it came to standing up for her family, and was very strong in her faith. She was also a very hard worker, which can still be seen in the immaculate gardens she had. She would always treat everyone in her family the same, especially her children. She would hold up her hand to her children and say "If you cut off one of my fingers it will still hurt." She will be truly missed by everyone who was lucky enough to call her family or friend.

Rosa's visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 5-8pm at Olinger Hampden Mortuary in Denver. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 10am also at Olinger Hampden Mortuary. Rosa will be laid to rest at Olinger Eastlawn Cemetery in Aurora, Colorado at 12pm on Wednesday, June 1, 2016.

Su funeral se llevará a cabo el miércoles 1 de junio de, 2016 a 10 a.m. también en Olinger Hampden Mortuary. Rosa será enterrado en el cementerio de Olinger Eastlawn en Aurora, Colorado, a las 12 pm el miércoles 1 de junio de 2016.
