

Solange Holmberg (Petit) was born on Christmas day in 1934. In Metz, the Alsace-Lorraine region of France. She was the first daughter born to Pierre and Marthe. She was a sister to older brothers Maurice, Jean, and Gerard, as well as older sister to Bernadette and Monique.
She was educated at a girls’ Catholic school through High School. She also took some college business classes. She met and married Arthur Heidebur, a Sergeant in the United States Army, while she worked as a translator for a Colonel. They had two children, Michael (married to Cecelia) and Patricia (married to Gene). They were married for twenty-one years, residing in Aurora, Colorado. Arthur passed away in 1978.
Solange worked as a waitress for The Normandy French restaurant, for twenty-five years. This was a job she enjoyed very much, and she made many friends while doing so. Seven years after the death of her first husband, she met and married Jack Holmberg. The family became blended and added four more grown children. Kelly (married to Debbie), Cheri (married to Mark), David and Darla (married to Tor). Jack passed away in 2003 after being married to Solange for twenty-one years.
She leaves behind her grandchildren; Brooke (married to Tuan), Courtney (married to Mike), Jacqueline (married to Troy), Chase, Dallas, Devin, Anna (married to Orion), Kelsey, Megan, Andy and Alex. She also had great grandchildren: Darren, Reece, Trevor, Aurora, Kevin, Michael, Jack, David and Stephen.
Please join us in the celebration of a life “well-lived”, at the Olinger Memorial Chapel, on Thursday, December 1st at 11AM. There will be a private burial at Fort Logan National Cemetery the same day at 2PM.
