12/03/1940 - 08/21/2023
Susan was born in West Des Moines, Iowa to J. Trevor Davies and Mary Bevan Davies. She was educated at Oberlin College and Stanford University. She moved with her young family from Palo Alto, CA to Darien, CT in 1968. It was there she began her 40 plus year private therapy practice focusing on executive coaching and clinical psychology in New Canaan, CT. She enjoyed her practice and cared deeply about her client’s well-being.
While living in CT she enjoyed raising her sons, playing the piano, attending the opera and symphony, traveling, and spending time at her various homes over the years in Branford, CT, Nantucket, MA, and Stuart, FL. In 2006, she happily moved to Denver to spend her last years close to her family. In Denver, she enjoyed attending performances at the Denver Performing Arts and spending time with her friends whom many she met through her investment club and book club.
She is survived by her sons, David Youngman Redford II & Hugh Trevor Redford, daughters-in-laws Stacey Redford & Diane Redford, grandchildren David Youngman Redford III, Alexis Lee Redford, & Hugh Trevor Redford II, and nieces Mary Girling and Sarah Lampert. She will be deeply missed.
