He was born August 28, 1937 to Theodore Allen Wendell and Charlotte Leonard Wendell in New York.
Ted went to DU and earned his master’s degree in social work, working at Denver Health Medical Center, both in the emergency room and in the Social Work department for 36 years. His focus was working with abused and neglected children and their families. He also did gang work on the streets of New York.
Theodore met and married his wife Kathryn (Cayou) Wendell in 1978. They had a daughter Adrienne Biron.
After retiring Ted spent time going to the Bronco games, watching sports, fishing, taking short trips around Colorado and reading.
Ted is survived by his wife Kathryn, his children Adrienne and Holly and Jason from a previous marriage and grandchildren.
Ted was a wonderful husband and a great father. He was a hard-worker, generous, loving, and wonderful through 47 years of marriage.
