Michael James Carter

Michael James Carter, age 41 of Hackberry, LA passed away in Ragley, LA on Saturday November 28, 2015. Michael was a loving guy who enjoyed anything outdoors and loved having fun with family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, watching football, and was an avid LSU fan.

Left to cherish his memory and mourn his loss are his parents: Mary & Wendell Carter of Dayton, TX, his sister: Candi and husband Scotty Morgan of Lufkin, TX, his five sons: Ronnie of Nacogdoches, TX; and Derek, Kollsen, Kollby, and Ryan all of Nederland, TX; a half-sister: Frances Breaux, nephew Zach Morgan and niece Kelsi Morgan, Uncles and Aunts: Curtis & Bobbie Fountain, Gary & Tiffany Fountain, Joyce Fountain, and cousins: CR, Troy, and Carly Fountain, Gee & Billy Fountain, and Crystal Gray. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Dub & Ruth Carter, Ray & Virgie Fountain, Aunt Alice Fountain, and a cousin Chris Fountain.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM Thursday, December 3, 2015 at the Hixson Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA with burial following in Beauregard Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Wednesday evening at Hixson Funeral Home in DeRidder.
