He was the devoted husband to the late Rosemary Schmalz (nee Schafer); the loving father to Robert Schmalz and the late Nancy Glon; dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. He enjoyed fishing, pheasant hunting, and riding his bike through the Cook County Forest Preserves on weekends.
Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Anthony that will be held from 9 am – 10 am on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner Street, Des Plaines, IL 60016. Funeral service will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Oehler Funeral Home. Graveside committal will follow at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles, IL.
