Deborah D. Kim

In 1974, she immigrated to the United States and settled in Chicago, IL. There, she began her career as a Registered Nurse, a career that spanned over 45 years.

In 1979, Deborah married Mu Jung Kim. In 1980, she became a mother to her eldest son, Philip. And in 1981, she gave birth to her second son, Edwin.

Deborah lived a busy life of service to others, not only raising her family but continuing her life-saving work as an ICU nurse.

In 2014, Deborah became a proud grandmother to her grandson, Zachary. She once again experienced the joys of grandmotherhood in 2017 with her second grandson, Tyler.

Deborah retired in 2019. She spent the golden years of her life enjoying time with her family as grandmother, mother, wife, sister, and as a child of God.

Deborah was called back by the Lord on April 18, 2026, when she passed away peacefully while surrounded by loved ones.

A visitation for Deborah will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Andrew Kim Korean Catholic Church, 1275 Arlington Heights Road, Itasca, IL60143.

A funeral mass for Deborah will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at 10:30 AM at St. Andrew Kim Korean Catholic Church, 1275 Arlington Heights Road, Itasca, IL60143.

A commitment service will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at 12:15 PM at St. Michael Archangel Catholic Cemetery, 1185 Algonquin Road, Palatine, IL 60067.
