Dear Lord, I'm so grateful to you for blessing me with a father who loved me his whole life unconditionally.  Who always made me feel so beautiful and special.  There aren't words that express how much I miss his immense love.

Dear Papa you fought so hard to stay with us longer, now God called you to his home and has you in his arms. I will carry you and our memories together in my heart.  YOU'RE THE BEST!

Thank you for teaching me to be strong, brave, and most importantly, to always find humor in life. Your laugh will forever be embedded in my memory and for that I thank you. Sometimes when I'm having a bad day, I go to that place in my heart and hear it vibrantly and smile.  

Even though I miss you dearly, I know you're with Nonna and that you're happy.  Watch over me from time to time. God knows I need it.

Dear nonno,

I want you to know that you have invaluably influenced the way I conduct my life in many ways--many of which I have yet to realize. Actually, I  always strive to strike up laughter from my peers, teachers, and family. I always love meeting people and seeing them laugh at my jokes. Hmm, I probably learned this from no other than you, because nonno, you have taught our family so much about what it truly means to be happy. You wanted to and always made everyone and anyone laugh--especially waitresses--and at every chance you could, because you knew it would brighten someone's day! You knew so many people because of your outgoing, humble, and hilarious personality. You are a beautiful person, in and out porque tu eres muy guapo ;) ..I am so lucky that I had you and nonna in my life. Goodbye for now!

I know there is no comfort for this pain of parting. The wound always remains, but one learns to bear the pain, and learns to thank God for what he gave. For the beautiful memories of the past, and yet the more beautiful hope for the future. I am very blessed to be part of your family and for all the love, caring, compassion with great sense of humor that was always brought to our lives. Thank you again for all the memories and your blessings.

Although there is a certain emptiness in my life right now, I am grateful for how you made my life whole. With your cheerful spirit and humorous ways, you brought our family together. I will forever cherish the way you loved me as the youngest grandchild. It pains me to have to let you go, but I am older now, more understanding of life, and able to carry your love with me wherever I go. As you look down upon me, I hope to establish a legacy like yours, and just to be half the man you were would be an honor for me. I thank God for giving our family the strength to look after you in your worst times, for it taught us numerous selfless lessons on how to truly demonstrate love. Heaven is rather fortunate to have added your humor and love.

Even though this world has taken you away I will never forget you and the man you were to the people that are my heart. Without you being the man that you were I wouldn't be the woman I am. I adored coming over when I was little, I adored eating your food more.. you never stopped working for your family.. you were such a hardworking man. Even though the world has taken you away from me I will never forget your laughter and the way your face would light up when you were with your family. I will never forget the love you had for Nonna. I will never forget your heart. May you now rest in peace together for I pray we will all be with you in heaven one day. Ti amo Nonno


I been thinking a lot about the many car rides we shared together and how you would honk your horn at random people and wave like a mad man, calling them your pisanos.  I do that now too. . I remember you singing and dancing to Nelly- Country Grammar when I jammed it on the radio with me, Maria, and Athina in the car after school, and you barley spoke good English. I still like that song.. I remember you going to stores and being obnoxious just to get me or someone to laugh.. I do that now.. You and Nonna were unstoppable at Scopa.. I'm getting pretty good if i do say so myself.. I didn't just get memories I got a name. It came with responsibility, character, lessons, and love. Even when I got to help you toward the end, God was using you to help me. Thank you Love you

Pa, thank you for all the laughter and the fun, for all the many dances together we have had and the many meals and cappuccinos together. It brings warmth to my heart to remember your smile. I am sure you have smiled now after being reunited with ma.
One day, when Jesus calls me home too, I will see your smile again.
