Mary & family--deeply saddened to hear of Gil's sudden passing.   Coworker and friend rolled into one at the same time don't come in multiples.   I'll miss him.  I offer my condolences to you and your family.   harold koessner

Gilbert, Tony Martinez and my brother Vic, were all buddies.  

They called themselves, the three amigos. All BFFs.  
Gil would come by our house all the time and hang out with Vic and Tony.  It was the Trio.  Gil was such a sweetie, so soft spoken, so nice and polite to me and mom.  Vic referred to him as the responsible one! Vic really admired him a lot and looked up to him.  They even formed a little construction company together, called "GTV Concrete"  Gilbert Tony Victor.

We lost Vic suddenly 8 years ago.  Me and mom depended on Vic so much to take care of the house and stuff.  I don't know even how to do laundry, let alone mow the grass?  Gil and Tony would stop by time to time to check up on me and mom ... they would always see me struggling to rake up all the apples in the front yard...huffing and puffing away, and quickly Gil would take over, much to my relief! 

By and by, Gil and Tony were over one summer afternoon sitting on the front porch.  Gil noticed how badly cracked the concrete stoop and walkway had become and told my mom that he would fix it.  Tony volunteered to re-finish our iron railings.  At No Charge.  Seriously!
And they did the job!
Tony painstakingly took the railings back to his house, and spent countless hours de-rusting them, sanding - painting...those railings looked brand new.

Gil worked with a little crew and they all worked hard that hot summer day...and totally fixed our stoop and walkways it was so Amazing and he did such an Awesome job and it was double AAwesome that he did that for us!...me and mom could never thank him enough.
my whole family and friends were like, wow what a nice guy! :o)

Vic would always mention how nice Gil was.  He'd say things like, Gilbert is a good guy.  Vic just LOVED GILBERT AND TONY and vice versa.  Tremendously!  

      I'm so sorry Mary, you are such a sweet person, and to his adorable sweet son and darling daughter and his entire lovely little grandchildren, (that he would always talk about!) and all his cousins and entire Family and pals, 

my heart really goes out to you.

The Three Amigos are all together now still messing around...

We are so sorry for your loss of a wonderful man. Gil was always so giving and willing to help in any way he could.  We will remember his big smile and he had great hugs too!!  We will truly miss him.
