Dear Dawn and Doug,
It is almost Labor Day and I recently learned that Helen passed away in March.  It was a shock to hear of her death....so much so that I couldn't sleep that night.  I felt certain she had longevity running in her veins.

I will miss, but never forget, her laugh, ready opinions and spirit for life. I'm certain that the support and love of her family, no doubt, added strength to her life.  It was to her family that she was truly devoted.

She met the end of her life in typical "Helen-style."  And now, I'm certain, she is resting peacefully next to the love of her life, Larry.

Dear Doug and Dawn,

She met the end of her life on her own terms, in typical 'Helen-style.'  I'm sure she is now resting peacefully next to the love of her life, Larry.

Dawn and Doug, My sympathy goes out to you on the loss of your mom, I know you will miss her deeply. I always thought she was such a classy lady, and my mom always talked about how smart she was. I love the smiling picture of her, and I added a picture of her that I have always loved of her and your dad.

Dear Doug and Dawn;
I was sad to hear the news of your mother's death.  I know that you will miss her terribly.  I will remember her as a quiet and practical soul, although knowing your dad, I have a feeling that there was an underlayer of 'spitfire' to your mom that few ever got a glimpse of.  I am glad for her that she was able to meet death  on her own terms and in her own home.  
I hope that your memories bring you peace and comfort.  Know that you will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Doug and Dawn-

I was so sorry to hear of your mom's death. She was a great lady. I saw her seldom but always enjoyed it when I did. When I was 30 and going through a rough patch after breaking up with a long term boyfriend, we crossed paths in the Soo at Gram's for several days. Your Dad went running with me at the university track, and your mom was very helpful in an understated way. I really appreciated their presence that week, not to mention those stiff drinks that your Dad was pouring. I always envied their relationship-- seems like they really LIKED each other. I'm happy to think of them together again.
