Janice E Swirles

Janice E. Swirles (nee Johnson) of Des Plaines, IL passed away unexpectedly on June 28, 2022, at the age of 79. She was born on January 12, 1943, in Chicago, IL to the late George and Shirley Stevenson.

Janice was preceded in death by her beloved Husband of 43 years Ernie; their Son Chris; Mother, Shirley Stevenson and Father, George Stevenson; Siblings, Joan Lites (Dayle), Deborah Stelling (Art), David Stevenson, Gary Stevenson (Gail); and Cousin Richard Hussar (Alvin).

Janice will be deeply missed by her niece, Jeannine Garriepy and great niece, Ashley; and by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Janice is also remembered by cousin, Glenn Hussar (Christine), and Sister-In-Law, Sue Stevenson.

Janice was a loving friend, mentor, and companion to many over the years. She had a successful career as a teacher and then as an Assistant Principal for the Chicago Public School District. She had a passion for shopping and cherished her dogs Mimi and Star.

A service of remembrance will be held at a later date, for both Janice and her mother, Shirley.
