

Jill Carol Romin, aged 67, passed away on February 3, 2025, in Arlington Heights, IL. Born on May 12, 1957, Jill devoted over two decades of her life to the Salvation Army, serving in Human Resources, where her efforts supported numerous programs and staff across the organization.
Jill was a beacon of faith at The Salvation Army of Des Plaines, where she was deeply involved in various activities, including singing and teaching the Bible. Throughout her life, her singing was a blessing to countless individuals as she performed in numerous concerts that inspired and uplifted many.
Her commitment to her faith and community was evident in her generous, hospitable, and loving nature. Jill's hobbies also reflected her nurturing spirit, as she enjoyed baking, gardening, and studying the Bible.
She leaves behind her husband, Kenneth Romin; daughters, Major Wendy Faundez, Emily Romin, and Carolyn Romin; son-in-law, Major Daniel Faundez; and grandchildren, Marcos, Jonathan, Joshua, Angela Faundez, Analia, and Marchello Proccichiani. Jill also leaves her sister, Major Linda Fjellman, and brother-in-law, Major Jonathan Fjellman. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Angela Renee Romin, and her parents, Harry and Carol Carlson.
Visitation will be held at Oehler Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 12th from 4 pm to 8 pm at 2099 Miner Street, Des Plaines, IL 60016.
A Celebration of Life Service will take place at Oakbrook Terrace Salvation Army on Sunday March 2nd at 2 pm at 1S415 Summit Ave., Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Salvation Army in her loving memory. Alternatively, please consider donating blood or bone marrow to continue her legacy of kindness and compassion.
