A longtime resident of Des Plaines, Illinois, June was the devoted wife of the late Bernard C. Grant. She was the heart of her large family—a loving mother to Michelle (Mike) Stoltenberg, Kathy (Alexander) Biggam, Judy Cipriani, Michael Grant, and Patti (Ron) Augustyn. She is now reunited with her beloved son, the late Timothy Grant.
June’s legacy continues through her ten grandchildren—Kimberlee, Alexander, Adam, Kelli, Jamie, Becky, Kristin, Lisa, Jimmy, and Danny—as well as 18 adored great-grandchildren. She was also a dear friend to many, known for her warmth and the incredible stories she shared.
A true local authority on history and treasures, June founded the Old Things Antique Club of Park Ridge and shared her expertise through her “Antique Lady” column for the Park Ridge Herald. She was a frequent public speaker on the subject and an antique dealer at the Oakton Street Antique Center for many years.
During her 15 retirement years in Campbellsburg, Indiana, she lived her dream in a beautifully restored "Painted Lady" Victorian home. She remained an active community leader there, playing a pivotal role in establishing the Campbellsburg Festival.
In lieu of flowers, donations in June’s memory may be made to the Kawasaki Disease Foundation at Lurie Children’s Hospital.
