Laurie spent most of her life spreading joy and love wherever she went. Whether it was as a loving wife, to her late husband Rick, supporting her daughter, Katie, at softball, or as a caregiver to those who needed it most, Laurie’s level of compassion knew no limits. Celebrations and the holiday season were synonymous with Laurie as she always made her home the place to be for any gathering. Nothing was more emblematic of Laurie’s kind heart than Katie’s friends and teammates becoming Laurie’s friends and teammates. She always made a point to let them feel cared for by regularly checking in even after seasons ended. In her spare time, her competitive edge shone through playing games like Yahtzee and recently attending bingo nights. Nothing captured her attention more than her beloved Blackhawks and was as dedicated a fan as anyone. Laurie’s genuine spirit was one that always made you feel loved, even on the hardest days. She is one of a kind and will be missed by all who know her.
