Lorna G. Scholz

Lorna G. Scholz, 86, formerly of Park Ridge was born August 20, 1935 in Chicago and passed away peacefully on November 12, 2021. Lorna was an amazing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend who loved with her whole heart. She was blessed with a large family who she doted on and spoiled. She was happiest when she was entertaining her large family and friends with her delicious hors d’oeuvres. She was known for her good humor, loving smile, and compassionate spirit.

She’s survived by her daughters; Kimberly (Al), Lisa (Kaz); and her grandchildren Matthew (Randi), Michelle, Christopher (Laramie), Jessica, Michael, Austin, Dylan, Kyle, Rick (Bridget), Jesse (Phina). Beloved great grandmother to Clementine, Harrison, Travis, Carter, Bodhi, and Serenity; dear sister of the late Ann (late Bud) Smith; cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews; and beloved friend to many.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 3-8 PM at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. Des Plaines, IL 60016. On Saturday, November 20, there will be a lie in state from 10-11 AM at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1605 Vernon Ave. Park Ridge, IL 60068, followed by the funeral service at 11 AM. Interment will be private.
