Michael W. Stamper of Des Plaines for 42 years Visitation for Michael W. Stamper, 53, will be from 3 to 7 p.m., with services at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. (Northwest Highway/Route 14 at Rand Road), Des Plaines. Pastor Gary Houdek will officiate. Interment will be in Wilson Cemetery, Draffin, Ky. on Monday, Sept. 17. Born Aug. 8, 1959, in Pikeville, Ky., he passed away Sept. 10, 2012, in Des Plaines. He was employed for 33 years for the Des Plaines Public Works, presently as a crew leader. He cherished his friends, was an avid Bears fan, and was planning his retirement in Tennessee, He was the son of Betty and the late Robert Stamper; and brother of Timothy B. Stamper. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Heart Association, appreciated.
