Per Arnold Sodermark of Des Plaines since 1966, veteran WW II U.S. Air Force, born in Sweden on July 15, 1922, graduate of Illinois Institute of Technology; during his working career, Arnie was an engineer and Vice President of Karl Wiklander and Company. He was an avid Cubs fan and golfer. He passed away on December 12, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his dear wife of 66 years, Muriel nee Dearth, his loving daughter Diane Freeman, his sister Jean (Herb) Ward, his brother John (Mary) Sodermark and his nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday December 20th from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Oehler Funeral Home 2099 Miner St. (Northwest Hwy./Rt. 14 at Rand Rd.) Des Plaines; in state Monday from 10:00 am until time of service 11:00 am at Trinity United Methodist Church, 605 W. Golf Rd., Mount Prospect IL.
