Ruth S. Schwab Irwin

Ruth V. Schwab Mohle Irwin passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 26, 2017, surrounded by her daughter Linda and granddaughter Jennifer. She was in the care of Transitions Hospice as well as the staff of The Village at Victory Lakes in Lindenhurst, IL. Ruth was born in Chicago on October 23, 1925 to Irene (Wiche) Schwab and Fred Harold Schwab. She was blessed to have a loving sister, the late Patricia (Kenneth) Berlinger and a brother Robert (Martha) Schwab. She attended Clinton Elementary School and Amundsen High School class of 1943. She married Arthur B. Mohle on September 2, 1945, who preceded her in death. Together they raised two children, Linda Helen and Robert Arthur. Ruth's dream was to own and manage her own pre-school. Her dream came true and for many years she was the very proud director of Little Learner Pre-School in Northbrook, IL. In 1971 Ruth married Raymond J. Irwin, who preceded her in death. They lived in Glenview and later in Grayslake. They enjoyed Square Dancing, traveling, working and socializing at the American Legion, and spending time with their family. Ruth is survived by 2 children and their spouses: Linda (Richard) Togliatti, Robert (Valerie) Mohle; a step son John Irwin and his daughter Genevieve (Aldino) Tayeb; 4 grandchildren: Jennifer (Juan) Herrarte, Andrew Togliatti, Robert Mohle Jr. and Clarissa (Jordan) Ross; and 5 great grandchildren, Juliet, Joaquin, Jiovani, Jiada Herrarte and Makena Tayeb. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation Wednesday April 12, 2017 from 3-8pm at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. Des Plaines, IL. Services will be held Thursday April 13, 2017 at 11am at Oehler Funeral Home. Entombment will be at Ridgewood Cemetery directly after the service.
