Shirley Clara Nichols, 88, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2014 in her home in Palm Coast, FL. Born to the late Frederick and the late Elizabeth Blessing in Chicago, IL, beloved wife of Kent Howard Nichols, who she married in January of 1945. Beloved mother of Mark, Jane and Kent (Karen) Nichols; cherished grandmother of Katherine, Patrick and Sean. Visitation Sunday 2 to 7 pm at the Oehler Funeral Home 2099 Miner St. (Northwest Hwy. /Rt. 14 at Rand Rd.) Des Plaines. Funeral Monday 10 am until time of Service 11 am. at the First Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1649 W. Le Moyne St., Chicago. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Bethlehem Church.
