

Tony O. Sebastian, age 83, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away Wednesday morning, April 22, 2020 at his beloved home with his wife by his side. Born May 8, 1936, in Manila, Philippines, he was the son of the late Eufemio R. Sebastian and Purita O. Sebastian.
Tony immigrated to the United States in 1957. He later went on a blind date and met Clarinda in Chicago. They later got married in the Philippines in 1967 and moved to Chicago. He began his career as a catalog editor at Sears, Roebuck and Company as one of only 2 Filipinos working at the store. Later he worked at Blue Cross & Blue Shield while taking care of 2 boys while Clarinda worked the night shift at Illinois Masonic Medical Center. He finished his career at American Airlines and spent retirement traveling and enjoying his family. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling, some crafts and watching Bond movies and his beloved Chicago Bulls win during their 6 year championship run.
Tony is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Clarinda C. Sebastian; along with two boys; Erwin Sebastian and wife Leilani of Charlotte, North Carolina, Steven Sebastian and wife Patricia of Skokie, Illinois; four grandchildren, Kyle and wife Rebecca Sebastian, Jeremy Sebastian, Amabel Sebastian and Soledad Sebastian; and many loving nieces, nephews, and relatives. We love you and will miss you dearly.
A private visitation and prayer service will be held for immediate family at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St., Des Plaines, IL.
