Born April 27, 1923, in Chicago, she died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011, in Des Plaines. Valerie was a homemaker. Valerie was the beloved wife of the late Arthur C. Rieck; dear mother of Thomas (Penelope) Rieck, Terrance (Donna) Rieck, Barbara (James) Binninger, Kathleen (Brian) Cardott and Christine (Patrick) Durkin; loving grandmother of Yale (Adrianne) Rieck, Charity Rieck, Robin Rieck, Adam (Maureen) Rieck, Jennifer Binninger, Kevin Binninger, Lauren Cardott, Evan Cardott and Cameron Durkin; and cherished great-grandmother of Collin, Madelyn, Evan, Erin, Nora and Jack. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary Church, Des Plaines.
