Employed by the Dodge division of the Chrysler Corporation, Liz left the workforce to focus on her family, returning to employment later in life alongside Edward at several firms, and did volunteer work with the American Cancer Society at their Discovery Shop in downtown Farmington.
Liz was a member of Northwest Church, Ward Church, and Salem United Church of Christ over the years and was very active in the church community as well as in her tight-knit neighborhood in Farmington.
Despite such an active life, Liz made sure that her family always came first. She took pride in raising her sons and making the family home not only a welcoming haven for them and her husband Ed, but also for extended family and friends, from simple everyday get-togethers to big holiday gatherings across the years.
Somehow on top of all this, Liz managed to be an incredibly creative hobbyist over the years, doing everything from needlepoint to making christmas ornaments and other knick-knacks for her family and friends as well as for the public, and using her incredible eye at finding gems amid junk in garage sales, restoring antique furniture into beautiful pieces that either ended up in our house or sold quickly at consignment shops. That doesn’t even take into consideration her skills at baking all manner of favorite treats and goodies. She will be missed in more ways than can be counted. Memories of Elizabeth shared by family, friends, and former workmates would be appreciated.
