Ann Arbor, MI, 68 years old, born November 12, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan passed away peacefully on Monday, October 17, 2016. The first son born of Samuel and Elaine Davis of Harper Woods, Greg is preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Barbara. He is survived by his loving wife Renee, sons Jeffrey (Michelle) of Ellicott City, Maryland and Jason (Brenda) of Lewisville, Texas, grandchildren Sydney, Adriana, Jaxson, Paityn, and Ainsley, mother-in-law Betty Zen, brother-in-law Dan Zen (Mindy), and cousin Sharon Carich. Greg earned his Bachelors of Business Administration from Western Michigan University in 1969 and his MBA from the University of Tampa in 1978. He was proud of many things in his life – his education; his military service with the United States Army from 1970-1972 stationed in Mannheim, Germany; his 15 year career with Westinghouse Elevator; becoming an elder at Glenshaw Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh, PA; creating a successful elevator consulting career over 30 years; being a part of the 1960 Little League Michigan state championship Harper Woods baseball team; and hitting a ball out of Tiger Stadium (even if it was fouled back!). But nothing compared to the pride he felt in his children and grandchildren. Avid supporter of dreams, counselor extraordinaire, steady believer in potential, and rock when times were tough. Graveside services will be held at St. Andrews Cemetery in Dexter, Michigan at 11:00AM Saturday, October 29, 2016 with a celebration of Greg’s amazing life immediately following.
Arrangements under the direction of Hosmer-Muehlig Funeral Chapel, Dexter, MI.
