

Nancy was born on August 23, 1937, in Munger, Michigan, to Juluis and Frances Tressic. Her family later moved to Bay City, where she spent her childhood and grew up. It was in Bay City that Nancy met the love of her life, Barry Miller, at a movie theater. The two were married in 1956 and shared a loving marriage until Barry’s passing in 2014.
Together, Nancy and Barry raised two sons, Steven Miller and Norman Miller. Over the years, they lived in several places before settling in Battle Creek from 1962 to 1978, and later making their home in the Ann Arbor area, where Nancy resided for the remainder of her life.
Nancy held a variety of jobs throughout her life, including work at local theaters, serving as a nursing aide, and later taking on managerial roles in retail. She was known for her strong work ethic and dedication in every role she undertook.
In the 1980s, Nancy became a devoted member of St. Joseph Parish in Dexter, Michigan, she attended Mass every Sunday whenever she was able. Her faith was a central part of her life. She loved singing at church and found joy in expressing her creativity through crocheting.
Nancy also had a remarkable gift for gardening and was especially known for her ability to nurture and maintain thriving houseplants. In her earlier years, she and Barry enjoyed spending evenings at home watching movies together, a simple pleasure that brought them much happiness.
Nancy is survived by her loving sons; Steven Miller, and Norman (Kathy) Miller, as well as her brothers; Fr. David Tressic and Dennis (Kaye) Tressic. Nancy is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.
Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Barry Miller, her parents, Juluis and Frances Tressic, and her sister, Janet Szczypka.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Nancy on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church - Country Church located at 6805 Mast Rd, Dexter, MI 48130, at 11:00 am, with visiting to occur prior, starting at 10:00 am.
Nancy will then be laid to rest at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery, in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church of Dexter, Michigan.
