

McLeod, Patrick H. a lifelong resident of Dexter, Michigan passed away in comfort with his family by his side. He was 89 years old. Patrick was born February 14, 1934, the son of the late John “Jack” and the late Camille (née Ableson) McLeod. After graduating Dexter High School Patrick went to Ferris State University and graduated in 1957 with his earned degree in Pharmacy. Patrick was also married in 1957 to Nancy Gable, together they enjoyed 65 years of marriage and raised 3 children; Dean, Diane and Jon. Having worked at his father’s pharmacy (McLeod Drugs) from an early age Patrick was ready to take over the pharmacy after his graduation. He sold the pharmacy in 1983 and then worked independently until he retired at 80 years of age. Patrick enjoyed helping his customers understand the medications they were taking. He enjoyed people and golfing; after he received his private pilot’s license, he enjoyed flying, and puttering around the house. He was handy with tools and very mechanically inclined. He restored two antique cars, a 1927 Buick and a 1956 Ford Thunderbird. Patrick along with his faithful dog and companion Sam by his side enjoyed driving the Thunderbird in the annual Dexter Days parade. Sam would sit up tall and proud in the passenger’s seat and the yearly parade goers loved to shout out to Sam as they drove by. Patrick is survived by his wife Nancy, his children; Dean, and Diane Bach, grandchildren; Anthony (Catherine) Bach, and Angela (James) Matherne, great grandchildren; Dorian and Caspian Bach. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; John “Mac” McLeod and Robert McLeod, his son; Jon McLeod.
Visitation will be Friday, March 3, 2023 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until time of the memorial service at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be offered to the Dexter Methodist Church.
