

Bob was born August 8, 1933 in Dexter, MI and graduated from Dexter High School in 1951. He served in the U.S. Army as a radar technician. Bob met Suzanne, his wife of 56 years, in Dexter in 1956 and they had four children. He began working as an electronics technician at the University of Michigan and later retired from ERIM (now General Dynamics).
Bob enjoyed chocolate, warm Pepsi, music, working outside, reading, woodworking and tinkering with electronics. He also enjoyed playing cards with his card club friends for many years.
Bob is survived by his wife, Suzanne (Nixon) of Dexter; daughter Sharon (Bob) Miller of Rogers, OH; sons Kirk, Aric (M’Lis Bartlett), and Aaron (Kerrie) Van Natter of Dexter; and granddaughters Lake and Sadie Van Natter. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Leona (Weir) Van Natter; brothers John and Bill Van Natter; and sister Betty McCullough.
A memorial service is planned for 11:00am, Friday, January 30th at St. Andrew’s United Church of Christ in Dexter, followed by a lunch reception at the church. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.
