Wayne Jeffery

Wayne graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 1990, where he laid the foundation for a successful career. He worked as a Senior Payroll Analyst at the University of Michigan, where he was valued for his expertise, and commitment to his work.

Outside of his professional life, Wayne was an avid sports fan, with a particular passion for football and baseball. He was a devoted supporter of the Detroit Lions, always cheering them on through every season. Wayne also had a deep love for movies, particularly those set in fantastical worlds. He was a devoted fan of The Lord of the Rings and The Avengers, finding joy in the epic tales of heroism and adventure.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Douglas H. Jeffery and Susan H. Jeffery. He is survived by his loving family, Beth (Don) Speer, Cheryl Golichowski, and Kelsey Wilds.

His family would also like to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Cece and the team at Michigan Medicine for their care, Don Speer and Darryl Speer, as well as his neighbors, for their support during this difficult time.

Wayne will be missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who cherished his kindness, generosity, and loyalty. Rest in peace, Wayne.

A visitation for Wayne will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Hosmer-Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 3410 Broad St, Dexter, Michigan 48130. A funeral service will occur Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 1:00 PM, 3410 Broad St, Dexter, Michigan 48130. Please wear your favorite sports attire in honor of Wayne. A private family burial will occur.
